    Description
Note from Bethan Morgan: Our work features on the cover of this issue of Gorilla Journal. Our article outlines the methodology used by the voluntary 'Clubs ds Amis des Gorilles' (Gorilla Guardian Clubs) who work with us to monitor the Ebo gorilla habitat in Cameroon for threats to the gorillas, as well as the gorillas themselves. After outlining results of the work to date, we introduce our work with the communities involved to establish some form of 'exclusion' zone for people from the gorilla habitat; a distinct community-sanctioned process from that encouraging a future national park. As well as decreasing threats to the small gorilla population (numbering less than 25 individuals) from hunting or habitat disturbance, this strategy will aid in reducing the risks of disease transmission to the vulnerable population. There are multiple stakeholders involved in the ambitious scheme, from local government, law enforcement, traditional authorities and the communities themselves.
